| First day of nursing classes: Yesterday.
First day of nursing clinicals: in 6 hours.
Exciting!

| Two great bits of news:
1. I have a job. Starts the 2nd of January, day after I return
from my brother Paul's wedding. C.N.A., decent wages, same shift
as Laura works, five minutes from her place of employment, hopefully
school-compatible schedule.

| A discouraging turn of events has left me searching for jobs
again. I apparently do not possess the necessary qualifications
of being able to rationally and coherently talk to Texans on the
telephone.
And being married to a Pennsylvania resident, which grants me state
residency, apparently does not make me enough of a resident to qualify
for in-state tuition. Thank God for my grandpa's gift of mutual
funds, the sale of which will make up the difference.
But a job would be nice, as well.

| Neat. Going to Columbus/Cedarville/Yellow Springs this weekend.
Say, did I say that Laura and I saw Andrew Bird a few weeks ago?
And he was fabulously great. A bit more energetic and ... vivid
... than on the recordings. And he was playing with this awesome
guy whose name I forget, but who did loops mad crazily.
